Shaun entered a TV talent show called Britain’s Got Talent…
In his first audition he got a standing ovation from the crowd, with his rendition of the Bill Withers classic “Ain’t No Sunshine”, leaving Amanda Holden all of a flutter, and Simon Cowell praised him; “You are like Mick Hucknall – but good looking”.
In the semi final he delivered a brilliant performance of U2’s “With or Without You”, again getting praise from all three judges and sealing his place in the final, along with Diversity and Susan Boyle. Shaun returned to his first audition song “Ain’t No Sunshine” in the final 10, again receiving brilliant comments, Simon Cowell saying he “gave the performance of his life”
Since leaving the competition Shaun has travelled the country with the Britain’s Got Talent tour performing at major venues such as Wembley Arena. “I can’t believe this! A couple of months I would have been happy to sing on my school stage in front of 200 people, now I’m singing in front thousands at venue’s I never dreamed of playing!” says Shaun.
Just days after the tour finished Shaun was asked to perform in front of Prince Charles at Clarence House for the Prince’s Trust alongside Julian Smith, another Britain’s Got Talent finalist
